----Side Note: I wrote this after a whole lot of drama came up during the end of my sophomore year of college. I was so full of anger and after a while, I just let it all go...here's my thoughts


It’s not just the fact of turning the other cheek
It means to tame the fire within you
To not only take what was wrongfully done to you
But To set down your pride, your anger, your hurt
And let it all go
To not rise to defend
To not care that you might look weak
Because the worst demons are the ones inside that arise at a moments’ notice
The ones that consume your being and take away your rationale
It’s the internal fight that defines who you are
Will it control you or will you control it
And turn the other cheek
